What we are looking for
The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences has begun a recruitment and selection
process to hire teaching and research staff for the Bachelor's Degree in Business
Administration and Management. We are looking for someone with a PhD in Business
Management to perform mainly teaching and research tasks in areas related to Business Management (Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Business Management, etc). The selected applicant will be expected to contribute to the education of both undergraduate and graduate students and must have a proven track record of effective teaching in English.
As R2-R3 you will have the backing of the support program for the stabilization of postdoctoral research personnel of the Department of Research of the Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya (ESTAB).
We offer
•A full-time contract in a dynamic and international scientific environment in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona (Social Science Campus, in Barcelona). A part-time contract may be negotiated.
•A tenure-track (3-year) position with a mid-term evaluation (depending on the applicant’s profile, the position may automatically become permanent).
•A competitive salary based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate and
financial support for the candidate’s research (in accordance with the experience of the
candidate).
•Start date: March 2025 (date is negotiable).

Requirements
The candidate must have:
- A PhD in a discipline related to the position.
- A minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral experience.
- A minimum of 480 hours of teaching experience with good results in terms of
student satisfaction.
Assessment criteria
The following aspects of the applicant’s CV will be taken into consideration:
- A minimum independent research track. Particular consideration will be given to
candidates with their own funding as principal investigator and/or who sign papers
as senior author, as well as applicants who have made valuable contributions in
terms of scientific productivity within a research group led by another researcher.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We expect the
candidate to be able to design and lead their own group and projects independently.
- Ability to supervise and guide undergraduate and graduate students in their
research projects.
