The Bioengineering Department of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) is seeking candidates for APPLYING FOR STEP grants to hire research staff in training (FI-STEP) for young scientists from the national and international community who wish to undertake a doctoral degree in bioengineering.
This PhD project will focus on developing novel biomaterials for Regenerative Therapies. The key research areas include biomaterial synthesis and characterization, 3D bioprinting, cell-material interactions and applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

The position will have some teaching (up to 10 credits) that will be performed by the
candidate. The teaching will be matched with the candidate’s background.

Top 2% Scientists and have attracted talent from various competitive calls (such as Juan de la Cierva, Ramón y Cajal…).
The group has published in the last five years in high impact factor journals such as Progress in Materials Science, Materials Today, Materials Horizons, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Advanced Materials, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Nanomedicine, Acta Biomaterialia and Biomaterials among others.
