About UIC Barcelona
UIC Barcelona is home to around 8,000 students and offers 16 bachelor’s degree programmes, around 30 international double degrees and a wide range of masters and postgraduate degrees, in addition to continuing education courses in different fields of knowledge. Since 1997, we have been teaching people based on a model of academic rigour, a fulfilling university life and enriching life experiences. Selection process
In May 2018, EURAXESS awarded the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya a Research Excellence in Human Resources Award, ensuring that candidates are selected solely based on excellence criteria. Additionally, since 2016, we have been affiliated with the HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Research) seal from the European Commission, which aims to publicly recognize institutions that have advanced in aligning their human resources policies to improve employment and working conditions for academic and research staff, thus contributing to enhancing the attractiveness of academic and scientific careers.
The selection process at UIC Barcelona includes:
An independent committee of experts that evaluates all applications and decides who will proceed to the next stage. The members of this committee are both external and internal to UIC Barcelona.
A public oral defense by the shortlisted candidates: a presentation about their career (research, management, and teaching). After the presentation, the examination panel will ask a series of questions to conclude the defense. The defense must last a total of 60 minutes.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Marketing, who wants to join the department in a full-time position, dedicating his/her time to teaching and research in Marketing related areas (Principles in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Retail, etc.) The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the education of undergraduate students and must have a proven track record of effective teaching in English and Spanish.

What we offer.
A 3-year tenure track with an evaluation of the candidate after 18 months. After the expiration of this agreement (TT), and once all the objectives and conditions agreed upon in the TT have been met, you will be granted a position at UIC. Once the position is reached, your status as a faculty member (PDI) at UIC Barcelona will be regulated according to the faculty regulations in effect at that time.
A competitive salary based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate and financial support for the candidate’s research (in accordance with the experience of the candidate)
