What we are looking for

The Department of Nursing has positions open to lecturers in different stages of their academic career who want to join us in research, teaching and management tasks.

Candidates will provide input from the perspective of the critical patient and clinical care and will become part of our teaching and research team in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, recognised for its educational innovation and research projects in health education.

Junior candidates will be able to join our current lines of research. Senior candidates will be able to join our team and continue with their own research proposals with their own research team, following the line of the Department.

The UIC Barcelona Consolidated Research Group for Health Education is an interdisciplinary and innovative educational research group whose main lines of research include:

  1. Health education: improving health knowledge and its determining factors, on the one hand, for specific population groups (population at social risk, caregivers, mother and child, and family settings) and, on the other hand, educating people (mainly chronic disease and complex patient cases), as well as equipping future health professionals to become health trainers.
  2. Professional health education: research related to innovative learning methodologies that assures professional excellence among university doctors and nurses from day one, in addition to encouraging professional maturity. The field of research encompasses professional and cross-disciplinary clinical competencies and emphasises the patient safety practices and relational competencies (teamwork, communication and emotional intelligence), self-management, prioritisation and decision making in a health environment as well as complex situations.
